As a huge F1 fan, and a local to Woking, it was hugely exciting to be asked to shoot “MCL60”, the F1 car built for McLaren’s 60th anniversary. Photographing F1 cars isn’t like shooting a road car, they’re like spaceships and their aero is super intricate, which makes them a challenge to light. For this particular shoot, there was a very short turnaround time, so I shot all evening, then edited the photos through the night so they could be launched the following day!
