I’ve got to say, there are moments that define us as car enthusiasts, and this one is up there for me. After pouring blood, sweat, and tears into the complete rebuild of my Lotus Exige, I received the sort of invitation that makes it all worth it. Michelin asked to feature my Exige at their stand during the Goodwood Festival of Speed, right at the entrance of the Supercar Paddock. Talk about prime real estate.
The highlight? Showing off the newly fitted Pilot Sport 5 tyres. Those tyres are absolute game-changers when it comes to performance, and they looked stellar on the Exige. But the cool factor didn’t stop there. To showcase Michelin’s range, we put a bicycle on the roof – yes, Michelin makes bike tyres too, in case you didn’t know.
All in all, the experience was surreal. My Exige, a project so personal to me, was out there drawing attention amongst some of the world’s most iconic cars.
